What is the Islamic status of visiting the graveyard?
Answer
It is Mustahab for men to visit graves/the graveyard. It is preferable to visit at least once a week. It is also preferable that this day be on a Friday. It is also permissible to undertake journeys to visit the graves of the pious. This is permissible as long as no belief or action contrary to the Shar’iah takes place. [Bahisti Zeenat Page 268]
